A team of six Sierra Leonean Pastors in Ghana has on Thursday 14th April informed and invited the Sierra Leone High Commissioner in Ghana, Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson to a “pray for Mama Salone” event which will be held on Independence Day, 27th April.

Speaking at the Conference room of the Chancery, a member of the team Rev. Paul Shar Sayoh informed the High Commissioner of the said event that they as servants of God intend holding on Independence Day with Sierra Leoneans in Ghana at the New Harvest Global Ministries, Asofan New Station.

The program, dubbed as “Pray for Sierra Leone”, according to him is aimed at getting Sierra Leoneans in Ghana together and have them pray for Sierra Leone, the only country they can call home.

He further went on to cite scriptures in which everyone is urged to pray for their leaders and country while adding that it should not only be about what the country can do for you but what you yourself can do for your country.

Rev. Sayoh on behalf of the other ministers formerly invited High Commissioner Francess Virginia Anderson to serve as the Guest of Honour at the Program.

Accepting the invitation, H.E Francess Anderson thanked the servants of God for the invitation and promised being in attendance to honor it.

She said as a covenant child of God who believes in His principles, it is always great being in His presence especially to offer prayers for Sierra Leone.

High Commissioner Anderson, pledged her support and commitment and that of the High Commission in Ghana, to the success of the said program.

Another member of the team, Apostle Winner Benzale Ellie thanked the High Commissioner for accepting their invitation noting that such programs are very good for the spiritual growth of the nation.

According to Apostle Ellie, such programs do not only cater for prayers to be made for the country but also meet the spiritual, mental and psychological needs of people, thus the reason why he calls on every Sierra Leonean in Ghana to be part of the program.

Other ministers of the Gospel who formed part of the visiting team included Pastor John Karimu Faya, Pastor Emmanuel Kargbo and Pastor Augustine Bockarie.

The Pray For Sierra Leone program will be held on Wednesday 27th April, 2022.
